Out of Hours Service
We are closed weekdays before 08:00 and after 18:30; EVERY UK bank holiday and weekends (including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day); during training events (see below). During these times, call 111 who will put your call through to the out-of-hours provider for Suffolk. If you call the normal surgery number you will be automatically redirected (our telephone lines open at 08:30).
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
See further information of what to do in an emergency and when to call an ambulance.
NHS 111 Online
111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.
Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:
- Treat yourself at home
- Go to a Primary Care Centre
If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
You can also obtain 24 hour general medical advice by telephoning NHS 111 or by visiting the NHS 111 website.
